In general, all packages include:

• Fully air-conditioned transportation to/from the pickup point (hotel)
• Tour guide
• All admission tickets to the attractions included in the package
• Mineral water for the trip

None at all. Grand Java Explore is committed to full price transparency. All charges listed on the invoice are final—there are no additional charges on-site.

Expenses not typically included in the package and to be covered by the participant: souvenir shopping, meals outside the scheduled itinerary, and tips for the driver (optional, at your discretion).

Recommended preparations:

• Warm clothing —a thick jacket, gloves, a scarf or balaclava. Temperatures can range from 5–10°C
• Closed-toe shoes comfortable for hiking
• Flashlight / headlamp for early morning trips
• Camera & power bank — a moment that can’t be repeated
• Personal medications if necessary
• Cash enough for snacks or tips

Gas mask for Ijen (optional), you can usually rent one on-site

Trips to Bromo and Ijen can be taken year-round, including during the rainy season. However, there are a few things to keep in mind:

• The sunrise may be obscured by fog or thick clouds

The best time to visit is during the dry season (when it doesn't rain)

The Ijen Crater trek is approximately 3 km one way with a moderate incline. The ascent takes about 1.5–2 hours, and the descent takes 1–1.5 hours.

Recommended for people in moderate to good physical condition. No special hiking experience is required, but some light walking practice beforehand is highly recommended.
